Hunting Tourist Kelas Unggulan di Borobudur

Dipimpin oleh Ketua Program Unggulan MTsN 1 Kudus, H. Aris Haryono, S.Pd, seluruh kelas VIII dan IX unggulan MTsN 1 Kudus melakukan study implementasi Bahasa Inggris atau yang dikenal sebagai hunting tourist, 3-4 September 2019.

Dengan menggunakan 4 armada bus, 180 siswa-siswi bergerak dari Madrasah. Seluruh rombongan tiba di Magelang pada malam hari pukul 12.30. Seluruh peserta kemudian istirahat di RM. Kampung Ulu hingga paginya, mereka sarapan di sana. Setelah sarapan seluruh peserta bergerak menuju Candi Borobudur, Magelang.

Seluruh peserta dibagi menjadi beberap Tim, di mana satunya diisi oleh 6 siswa-siswi. Selanjutnya, seluruh tim bergerak mengililingi Candi Borobudur untuk mencari tourist asing dan mengajak bicara mereka dengan bahasa Inggris.

Menurut security Borobudur, bulan Agustus dan September adalah puncak kedatangan turis asing. Maka di hari itu, pengunjung asing sangat banyak memenuhi area candi. Meski tidak seluruh turis mau diwawancarai dan diajak bicara, namun pengalaman berbicara dengan turis merupakan hal yang tidak dapat dilupakan oleh seluruh siswa unggulan MTsN 1 Kudus.

Ali Shodiqin, S.Pd.I, salah satu pembimbing bahasa Inggris sangat puas dengan capaian kelas unggulan tahun ini. Mereka berani bertanya dan mengungkap keindahan Indonesia lewat bahasa Inggris kepada turis asing. Ia berharap program ini akan selalu ditingkatkan di tahun-tahun berikutnya.

Selepas keluar dari candi Borobudur, seluruh peserta hunting turis bergerak menuju Taman Pintar di Kawasan Malioboro Yogyakarta. Di sana seluruh peserta dapat menimba ilmu dari display science yang ditampakkan oleh pihak Taman Pintar. (FR)
