Dalam rangka meningkatkan program tahfidz Boarding School MTsN 1 Kudus, Asy Syafi'iyah MTsN 1 Kudus mengadakan Studi Banding ke Ponpes Putri Yanbu’ul Qur’an 2 Muria, (21 Januari 2019). Acara yang dipimpin langsung oleh Ka. MTsN 1 Kudus, H. M. Taufik Hidayat S.Ag, M.Pd, beserta guru tahfidz beserta pimpinan Boarding School MTsN 1 Kudus.

Seluruh rombongan MTsN 1 Kudus disambut oleh Pengasuh Ponpes Yanbu’ul Qur’an Putri 2 yaitu KH. Ahmad Hamim, Lc, Dipl, Ketua Yayasan Muria beserta para guru pengajar. Dalam sambutannya, Ka. MTsN 1 Kudus mengatakan bahwa kunjungannya adalah rangka meningkatkan program tahfidz MTsN 1 Kudus yang telah berlangsung selama 2 tahun ini. Dengan studi banding ini diharapkan program tahfidz Yanbu’ul Qur’an dapat sedikit banyak diadopsi untuk dikembangkan di Boarding MTsN 1Kudus.

Menurut Ketua Yayasan Muria, pendirian Pesantren ini adalah karena amanah uang wakaf para peziarah agar uang ini dikembangkan dalam bentuk pesantren. Setelah dibangun 2 tahun lalu baru tahun ajaran ini menerima santri didik baru. Meski dinilai baru namun fasilitas yang ditawarkan sangat luar biasa. Ketua Yayasan Muria melanjutkan bahwa ini tidak terlepas dari seluruh guru dan pendidik serta tenaga pendidik yang mendukung.

Ketua Yayasan melanjutkan bahwa hal yang paling utama dalam Boarding School atau pondok adalah terletak dalam kamar mandi dan dapur. Untuk itu Yayasan Muria telah menyiapkan kamar mandi yang bersih dengan menggunakan shower. Sementara dapur bersih dengan alat masak standar internasional juga dipersiapkan untuk masak setiap harinya. Ini menunjukkan keseriusan para pengelola pondok dalam mendidik para santriwati yang tahun ini masih berjumlah 143 siswi.

Sementara KH. Hamim, selaku Pengasuh Yayasan memaparkan secara jelas visi misi dan program pondok setiap harinya. Menurutnya rapat koordinasi adalah hal yang sangat dibutuhkan setiap minggunya untuk mengevaluasi program yang ada. Permasalahan tentu sangat banyak setiap harinya, namun pemecahan harus dibutuhkan saat itu juga. (FR)
