    Siswa-siswi kelas IX MTsN 1 Kudus tahun 2017 telah menorehkan prestasi yang membanggakan dalam ujian nasional. Pasalnya, dari seluruh MTs se-Jateng, MTsN 1 Kudus menempati urutan 3, di bawah MTsN 1 Kebumen dan MTsN 1 Surakarta. Hasil ini didapat dari sumber indeks integritas  ujian nasional tingkat sekolah.
    Sementara itu, dari seluruh SMP dan MTs seluruh Kab. Kudus, ujian nasional tahun ini kelas IX menempati urutan ke-3 di bawah SMP I dan SMP II Kudus. Hasil rata-rata yang didapat dari seluruh mata pelajaran UN (Matematika, B. Indonesia, IPA dan B. Inggris) adalah 7323. Ini jauh dari nilai rata-rata tahun kemarin.
    Kep. MTsN 1 Kudus, H. Ali Musyafak, S.Ag, M.Pd.I sangat bersyukur atas pencapaian siswa-siswi kelas IX tahun ini. Beliau sangat berharap agar pencapaian ini dapat ditingkatkan di tahun mendatang sehingga nilai ujian kelas IX menjadi nomor 1 se-Jateng.
    Untuk kelas IX di mata pelajaran Matematika ada sebanyak 11 siswa yang mendapat nilai sempurna (100). Siswa-siswa itu adalah; Anindya Syifa N. (IX A), Hana Nilna Mafaza (IX A), Aulia Salsabila (IX B), Devi Oktafia Anjani (IX B), Abdullah Tsaqif At Taqiy (IX C), Asifha Syaera Fadilah (IX C), Friska Salsabilla (IX C), Fina Fasihatul Ummah (IX D), Muchammad Najid Labiba (IX D), Anita Pujia Astuti (IX E), Nurul Khalimah (IX H)  Sementara di mata pelajaran IPA, satu anak mendapat nilai sempurna (100) dengan nama Aisyah Nafa Nabila (IX A)
